I have a true passion for helping women become their best selves.
Meet Kelly… Owner and head coach at Toogoods Fitness.
“I started my journey in the fitness industry back in 2008 and in that time I have helped hundreds of women regain their confidence and self belief surrounding all things health and fitness.
I started Toogoods Fitness in 2012 when I had this huge pull to empower women to move their body. After working in a gym environment for years and consistently seeing women too nervous to be in the weighs area, I wanted to created a space where women felt safe, with no judgement, just pure encouragment and drive from everyone around them. I wanted to show women what they are truely capable of through all types of movement, but more importantly I wanted to prove that exercise doesn’t have be a chore.”
Meet Karly… Our new addition to the TF coaching team. You’ll see Karly kicking ass in our fitness classes and SGT as she’s a regular TF member who has now gone on to qualify as a Level 2 Fitness Coach & a Level 3 PT.
“I’ve been working out at TF for the last 2 years and before that I lived in the US and spent 10+ years working out at gyms and bootcamps.
I love working out so much that I really want to share my passion for it with others and so decided to work on becoming a fitness instructor and PT alongside my day to day job.
When i’m not working out at TF you’ll find me hanging out with my 3 loves of my life - my husband Ben, my soul dog Muse and my crazy younger pup Skyler”
Meet Emma.. A coach that loves all things CORE, STRENGTH and EMPOWERING women to be their BEST. You’ll find Emma on a Saturday morning where she loves to coach the Saturday morning HIIT CLUB crew! You’ll also see her around the studio during the week working with her 1:1 clients.
“For as long as I can remember I've never felt like I’ve belonged in my body! Like I was an imposter in my skin! As a result of this I spent forever trying absolutely anything, because I always figured the next thing would be it, it would be what would make me, well, me.
Trying new things never came with any forward thinking whatsoever, so when my big brother told me him and his mates were going to quit smoking and take up jogging, naturally my reaction was, well I can do that. And that's where it began. I did couch to 5k. Well, couch to running for 30 mins. Then I was running the 5k. Then I was signing up for OCR's. Then was the realisation that I needed to work on strength if I was going to continue with the OCR craze. Enter Toogoods Fitness. My first BOXFIT class I nearly died. But... I had never felt stronger! I had never been made to feel more welcome. I had never had strangers cheering me on. It was ok to struggle. It was ok to adapt your workout. They still cheered you on. For you. Just being there and working on you. For you. I'm not sure exactly when it happened but there I was, a few weeks, months later...and I felt good. In myself. I felt strong. I felt confident. Just as I was. And seeing other women come in, feeling as I did, is when I knew what I wanted to do. I wanted to help, in any way, these women feel how I felt. Because they deserve to feel confident and strong and capable of anything. And any time I get to see that in my one 2 ones or in class, that light bulb moment, that first time lifting a little heavier, that first time finally getting the move, of getting one more rep...there is nothing that compares. And it has kept me going and every woman there inspires me and makes me so very proud. And there is no place I would rather be. That I why I love being a coach!”
